Surat letak jawatan....

Dear Tn XXX,

I am writing to you today to officially tender my resignation from ABC Sdn Bhd effective Friday, September 29, 2006.

I never thought I would ever leave a great company such as ABC Sdn Bhd, but I think it is better for the company if I sacrifice a little for the benefit of the many. In order to cut the cost, I realise it is better if I resign my post as a marketing manager and concentrate on helping the marketing side as a freelancer. By doing this I will eventually saved the company RM 11,200 if my post is continued until January next year.

Some might argue why now and not then? My answer is, I am appointed for a reason - to set up marketing for the company- and that is exactly what I have done. Whether it is a good plan or not, it is yet to be tested. I think this is the best time to leave and by doing this now, the gauge with which the target sales has been set could be reduced by RM 11, 200.

As what the marketing team has agreed with the previous management on the marketing strategy, all strategies are duly executed as planned. Please see the report presented before for reference. I believe that this team is in good hands of the leaders appointed and that it could handle the project well even without my presence.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about ABC Sdn Bhd, about all the people I’ve encountered in my years of service with the company. Your leadership has taken us all to new levels, and I have appreciated all your personal and professional advice over the months. It’s my hope that we will stay in touch as I begin this new chapter in my life.
